We are assisting one of our clients, a well-established insurance agency,  in their search for an experienced accounting professional to focus on the day to day accounting functions.

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

  • Perform and maintain balance sheet account reconciliations
  • Handle all vendor payments and participate in vendor management
  • Handle all premium receipts and payments, giving visibility to any past due balances
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Maintain financial security by following internal controls
  • Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential
  • Handle Month-End processing by preparing reports that are used for internal audits and decision-making

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equal experience
  • 5+ years accounting experience
  • Insurance agency experience strongly preferred
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with internal and external partners
  • Work well under pressure in fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task
  • Technical depth with Microsoft Excel
