ITAC Solutions Welcomes Shae Eason to the Birmingham Team
Once a part of the ITAC family, always a part of the ITAC family. We are excited to welcome Shae Eason back to the Birmingham team as a Senior Recruiter! Shae began her recruiting career with ITAC in June 2005. She worked with us for two years before her husband, who was in the U.S. Air Force at the time, received orders to move to Japan. After his tour in Japan, they moved to Ogden, Utah for another tour. Twelve years later, Shae is excited to rejoin the ITAC family. To learn more about Shae, check out this Q&A:
Q: Tell us about your background.
A: While living in Utah, I worked as an academic outreach support specialist at Weber State University. I handled the recruiting, training and supervision of up to 20 work-study college students. The students helped underrepresented students (low-income, first generation, undocumented students) get into college.
Q: What made you want to work for ITAC?
A: ITAC is my family. I love the culture here. I love the fast-paced environment and flexibility. I had 3 young kids at the time I worked here previously. It was very family-oriented, and the flexibility was awesome.
Q: What are you looking forward to in your new position?
A: Getting back into the groove of the recruiting! When I first worked for ITAC, I recruited for the office/professional side. Now, I will be recruiting for the accounting side. I know it will be a challenge, but I love challenges, and I’m looking forward to learning something new.
Q: What’s one thing you really want candidates to know about you?
A: I work hard for people. I love helping people. I’ve been on that side of looking for a job, so I know what it’s like.
Q: What is your favorite part about living in Birmingham?
A: Everything has changed. I’ve been away for so many years, but I love that there is so much more to do in Birmingham. Even at ITAC, a lot of changes have occurred.
Q: Who’s your biggest role model?
A: Michelle Obama. She’s a mom. Even though she’s a former First Lady, I can still identify with her on so many levels, and I think every woman can. I’m reading her book “Becoming” now.
Q: What’s your favorite quote or saying?
A: Psalm 23. I say it very often. Knowing that I’m protected by my God gives me so much comfort.
Q: What’s something most people would be surprised to learn about you?
A: I like complete silence. I even drive with the radio off!
Q: Bookworm, movie buff or Netflix binger?
A: Netflix binger for sure. Private Practice and Grey’s Anatomy are favorite go-tos.
Q: Favorite restaurant?
A: I love sushi, so any sushi restaurant! It’s a comfort food for me.
Q: Anything you want to add about family, pets or hobbies?
A: I like to be creative with my hands. I love arts and crafts. I have 4 kids—a 19, 17, 16 and an 11-year old. My husband is a retired Air Force Airman. He is also a pastor. People are often surprised that I am a pastor’s wife. I love people and serving them however I can. We also have 2 dogs – Chelsea and Shiloh.
