November 19, 2019

Meet Bethany Pappas, Associate Recruiter in the Birmingham office. Having recently graduated from the University of Alabama, Bethany is eager to grow as a recruiter and as a person in her new role. Learn more about Bethany in our Q&A:

Q: Tell us about your background.

A: I am a recent graduate of the University of Alabama and I majored in Communication Studies.

Q: Why did you want to work for ITAC?

A: I wanted to work for ITAC because of the company culture. Every person that I talked to was so kind and inviting and I could tell that they not only loved what they did, but that they genuinely liked working here with each other.

Q: What are you looking forward to in your new role?

A: I’m looking forward to growing not only as a person but as a recruiter.  I think that the best way to do that is to make meaningful connections with people and I feel really lucky to be in an environment where I get to do that.

Q: What is one thing you want candidates to know about you?

A: I want my candidates to know that I understand what it’s like to be in their shoes.  They can always come to me with questions and concerns.

Q: What do you like most about working in Birmingham?

A: I like working in Birmingham because there’s so much to do.  There are so many restaurants and bars and concert venues.  I just love the atmosphere here.

Q: Who is your biggest role model?

A: My biggest role model is definitely my dad. He’s the hardest worker I know and he’s also my biggest fan.

Q: Favorite quote?

A: “Change your thoughts and you can change the world.”

Q: What is your favorite fall activity?

A: I love sitting around a fire with friends roasting marshmallows and telling stories.

Q: Netflix binger, movie watcher, or bookworm?

A: I love reading, movies and Netflix.  But right now, I’m re-watching FRIENDS for the 3rd time so I might have to say Netflix.

Q: Where is your favorite place to hang out in Birmingham?

A: My favorite place to hang out in Birmingham is Avondale Brewery.  I recently went to a concert and I loved being outside and the whole atmosphere.
