ITAC Solutions Welcomes Andrew McCartney to the Huntsville Team

ITAC Solutions is excited to welcome Andrew McCartney to the Huntsville team as a Business Development Manager. With a background in recruiting, Andrew is eager to get back into the staffing game after spending a few years working in IT and research consulting. As an athlete, outside the office you will most likely find Andrew coaching soccer or playing it. Learn more about Andrew in our interview below:

Q: Tell us about your responsibilities in your new role.

A: My responsibility as a Business Development Manager is growing the Huntsville and North Alabama market for ITAC, and being able to connect our clients, candidates and contractors to hopefully get some great relationships developed and growing this organization in the Huntsville area.

Q: Tell us about your background and previous experience.

A: My background and previous experience has been several years in staffing before I moved into IT and research and advisory consulting for about three years, and now I am jumping back into the staffing world.

Q: Why ITAC?

A: Really what made me choose ITAC was I wanted to work for a company and culture that was a little bit smaller of a company, but was big-vision focused, and ITAC is that. It also has a great focus on the internal and external employees and really creating that family feel that I was looking for in my next organization.

Q: What are you looking forward to in your new role?

A: The thing I am most excited about and looking forward to in this new position with ITAC, is I’m looking forward to jumping back into the staffing industry and reconnecting with the Huntsville and North Alabama area. I am also looking forward to building on the foundation that has been set in this area and expanding it into a larger market for ITAC.

Q: What is one thing you want candidates/clients to know about you?

A: The one thing I would say would be that I want people to know that I am huge on relationships and I am passionate about helping Huntsville and the North Alabama area continue to grow and be great.

Q: Who is your biggest role model?

A: I won’t say I have just one big role model. I would say that my parents and my older siblings would be my role models. All of them taught me great work ethic and are great examples of how to do business, as well as how to care and treat people while doing that business.

Q: What is the best advice you have ever received?

A: I come back to one of my soccer coaches giving me a quote one time: “Do you have potential, or did you meet your potential?” That question is something that is great, and I hold it dear to me daily, not to just have potential but actually live up to it.

Q: What are three words that describe you?

A:  Caring, outgoing, and athletic.

Q: What is your favorite summer activity?

A: I would say golfing or being on the river.

Q: Where is your favorite place to hang out?

A: I have two that stick out to me: Martin’s Bar and Bistro in Huntsville, and Heat Pizza Bar in Tuscaloosa.

Q: Tell us about any hobbies or pets you have.

A: I have two dogs, Mack and Cocoa. In my spare time you can find me doing something involving sports, the gym, being with friends, or coaching Cottontown United, which is a newly formed soccer club in Athens, Alabama.
