ITAC Solutions Welcomes Sydney Pearson to the Team
We are excited to welcome Sydney Pearson as a Senior Recruiter to ITAC’s national accounts team. She graduated from Birmingham Southern College in 2013. Sydney comes to us with a technical background in engineering and IT recruiting in the government and aerospace industries. In her new role, she will be matching qualified candidates with ITAC client companies across the country. To learn more about Sydney, check out this Q&A:
Q: What made you want to work for ITAC?
A: ITAC’s culture. Recruiting is a good fit for me and my personality, so I know I can find candidates. But, after meeting with the teams here, it was all about ITAC’s long-term goals. ITAC’s mission is something I was really looking for in an organization.
Q: What are you looking forward to in your new position?
A: I’m looking forward to getting to know the team and everyone here at ITAC. I’m excited to be that matchmaker that ITAC needs for its national accounts team. That’s what I love about this job – helping people, our clients and everyone involved in the process. I know I will be able to continue to do that here.
Q: What’s one thing you really want candidates to know about you?
A: I’m all about getting to know my candidates not only on a professional level, but also on a personal level. It helps me figure out what they’re looking for so that I can help them long-term.
Q: Who’s your biggest role model?
A: My biggest role model is a combination of my parents, my sister and my husband. My mom and dad have always been strong examples to me of where you come from and where you can go, and they also taught me the importance of doing the right thing. My younger sister means the world to me. She’s in law school and doing a lot of great things. I really look up to her even though she’s my younger sister. My husband is my rock and my role model, too. Seeing him grow over the last 6 years that we’ve been together has just been phenomenal.
Q: What’s something most people would be surprised to learn about you?
A: I think most people would be surprised to learn that I’ve been on a reality TV show. When I was little, my mom was a paramedic for a national fire department, and TLC did a show specifically for first responders and paramedics. They followed her on the job but also came home to our farm and filmed me feeding chickens and riding horses.
Q: Bookworm, movie buff or Netflix binger?
A: I’m a Netflix binger and a bookworm. I love to read. I’m currently reading The Magic of Thinking Big. I just finished Game of Thrones, and I’m watching Queen of the South right now.
