Ashley serves her client companies’ hiring needs, working hand-in-hand with Partner Ben Branch, ITAC’s Director of Birmingham IT Business Development. To learn more about Ashley, check out this Q&A:
Q: Why ITAC?
A: I’ve worked for ITAC for almost 8 years. The reason that I wanted to work here was everyone that I met during my interview process. I had heard good things about the company, so I knew it had a good reputation. But I was sold after meeting Charles, Brian and Ben and getting to know the people that own the company. After all, they are the heart of the company.
Q: What is your favorite part of your job?
A: I love working with the people here at ITAC. We have absolutely the best team, and I couldn’t be more thankful for every one of them. We also have amazing clients and getting to build those relationships has been a lot of fun. I feel extremely fortunate to not only love my job, but to also love the people that I work and interact with.
Q: What’s one thing you really want candidates and client companies to know about you?
A: I’m honest, and I think that’s important in this industry. Sometimes people just want to make the placement instead of making the match. We are dealing with people’s jobs, and I take that job very seriously. Being honest impacts being able to make a lasting match. If it’s not the right job for a person or the company is looking to make a hire that wouldn’t be right for them, it’s not good for anybody. I think sometimes the brutal honestly can be hard to deliver, but very necessary in making sure that everybody makes a good decision for themselves.
Q: Tell us about yourself. Family? Pets? Hobbies?
A: I just got married! My husband is my favorite person, and I just love spending time with him. We have a dog and cat. My dad was a pilot, and I am working to get my pilot’s license. I’ve been able to take my husband up with my instructor, and I look forward to doing that more in the future! We also like to play tennis and spend time with family.
Q: Where is your favorite restaurant or place to spend your free time in Birmingham?
A: My husband and I enjoy taking our son to the park, riding bikes, playing tennis and just being outside. Lately, our family has been enjoying the burritos at Moe’s!
