Purchasing Officer

ITAC Solutions is seeking a skilled Purchasing Officer for a great organization in the Birmingham area! This person must have strong analytical skills and advanced knowledge of market research.  

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

  • Conduct research to identify potential vendors 
  • Compare and evaluate offers from suppliers
  • Negotiate contract terms of agreements and pricing
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery of products
  • Review quality of purchased products and stock
  • Utilize data entry skills to enter order details into the database 
  • Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information, and invoices
  • Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses 
  • Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

  • Minimum of one year of purchasing experience
  • Wholesale or Distribution industry experience highly preferred
  • Proficiency in relevant management software programs
  • Great organizational and planning skills
