Accountant

Direct Hire / Fulltime

Birmingham, AL / In Office

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Responsible for high volume full cycle accounts payable processing
• Entering invoices, coding to appropriate location and general ledger accounts
• Preparing and processing checks, ACH transfers, and wire transfers.
• Cash receipt responsibilities

• Weekly and monthly cash reporting and monthly general ledger closing activities

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred

Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in full cycle accounting including accounts payable
• Public accounting experience- preferred
• Strong software skills including MS Excel

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Exceptional organizational skills
• The ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
