Accounting Manager/Business Manager in Birmingham, AL

Compensation: $85k annually
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Oversee the entire accounting and financial reporting function for the organization.
- Organize and prepare regular financial statements.
- Supervise a team of 4-8 billing clerks and administrative assistants.
- Interface with outside auditors to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Control and review the organization’s use of Accounting, Billing, Donor Relations, and other administrative software systems.
- Prepare and manage the annual budgeting process.
- Ensure accurate insurance billing and verification processes.
What You’ll Need to be Considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required.
- 5+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience with insurance billing and insurance verification.
- Non-profit experience is a plus.
- Intermediate Excel proficiency (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.
- Excellent communication skills.
