ITAC Solutions is partnering with an esteemed client in Birmingham, AL to find a Business Development Representative who thrives in longer sales cycles, enjoys extensive travel, and possesses a hunter mentality. Compensation: $50k/yr base salary plus commission
Travel requirement: 30%-50% travel to the Midwest region

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

  • Lead efforts to enhance community well-being by collaborating with local leaders to attract retail businesses, recognizing the importance of longer sales cycles in municipal or government sales.
  • Forge meaningful connections with local authorities, business chambers, and economic development agencies across the Midwest, understanding the significance of face-to-face interactions in relationship building.
  • Drive new client acquisition through innovative sales strategies tailored to the unique needs of each municipality or government entity, embodying the hunter mentality.
  • Cultivate and nurture strong relationships with community leaders to establish lasting partnerships built on trust and mutual benefit.
  • Leverage your exceptional public speaking skills to represent our organization at various events and engagements, effectively communicating our value proposition to diverse audiences.

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

  • Proven track record in outside sales or business development roles, with a deep understanding of longer sales cycles and the ability to navigate them effectively.
  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit and proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities, embodying the hunter mentality.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Midwest to establish and cultivate client relationships, recognizing the importance of face-to-face interactions in building rapport.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, enabling you to connect authentically with clients and stakeholders at all levels. Self-motivated and driven to exceed expectations, with a strong focus on organizational skills to optimize daily sales efforts.
  • Resilient and persistent in sales efforts, with the ability to overcome challenges and setbacks with determination.
  • Experience in public speaking, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication, essential for effective engagement with clients and stakeholders.
