DevOps Engineer

ITAC Solutions is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer on behalf of our client located in Mobile, AL. The chosen candidate will play a crucial role in deploying product updates, resolving production issues, and implementing integrations to fulfill our customers' requirements. A strong background in software engineering is essential for this role as the DevOps Engineer will also contribute to project planning and management decisions.

Location and Compensation:
Mobile, AL/ Full-Time – Direct Hire / Hybrid
Salary: $50 – $70k
 
What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Build/ implement new development tools/ infrastructure and design procedures for system troubleshooting/ maintenance.
• Understand stakeholder requirements and effectively communicate them to developers.
• Automate and enhance development and release processes.
• Ensure system security against cybersecurity threats.
• Identify technical problems and develop software updates and fixes.
• Plan projects and contribute to project management decisions.
• Deploy updates/ fixes and develop tools to minimize errors and enhance customer experience.
• Create software to integrate with internal back-end systems.
• Perform root cause analysis of production errors.
• Develop scripts for visualization automation.

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• Previous experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar software engineering role.
• Proficiency in C# programming language and .NET framework development, including legacy .NET frameworks (e.g., 4.5) and modern .NET frameworks (e.g., .NET Core).
• Strong understanding of database design and development, with experience in MS-SQL and MongoDB.
• Familiarity or experience with ASTM interfaces.
• Knowledge of the HL7 message structure.
• Experience developing REST APIs and TCP/IP port interfaces.
• Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services, including resource deployment and management.
• Knowledge of Blazor web development and other modern front-end technologies.
• Strong software development skills.
• Proficient in analysis and debugging of software.

• Bachelor of Science degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Experience in the healthcare industry with HIPAA compliance and healthcare industry regulations.
• Experience in application development/engineering.
