Director of Accounting
Salary:  $100-125K + bonus
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Onsite, Bessemer

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Develop accounting organizational strategies and recommendations for organizational objectives and direction
• Responsible for month end close process, preparing financial statements, and providing financial projections
• Forecast and manage cash requirements and obligations
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, and KPIs that measure performance
• Direct day-to-day operations of the accounting department and staff leading to accurate, timely, and reasonable results
• Oversee the completion of quarterly reviews and annual audit
• Research, understand, and present tax strategies
• Hire, train, and retain accounting staff

What you’ll need to be considered (required):

• Bachelors in Accounting/Finance
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Leadership experience
• Strong understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and accounting principles

• Cost Accounting experience
• Experience with 1099 employees
• CPA
• Dynamics Great Plains experience
• Concur experience
