Financial Diligence Analyst

We have an exciting opportunity to work for a leader in healthcare operations and acquisitions as a Financial Diligence Analyst, here in Birmingham, AL! This person will handle the due diligence process of target companies, multi-year forecasting, preparing financial models for acquisitions, and financial reporting.

Compensation: $70,000 – 80,000/yr. +

What you’ll be doing:

• Assist in the preparation of internal tools used to analyze hospital results, identifying risks, opportunities, and adjustments.
• Collaborate with business development, hospital sellers, and advisors to collect and analyze transaction-level details within the hospital’s historical financial data.
• Prepare financial projections and forecasts for upcoming acquisitions, incorporating insights from operations teams, existing platforms, and business intelligence as necessary.
• Develop pro forma forecasts and calculate long-term value for hospital capital projects, utilizing input from operations, platform data, and analytics from the business intelligence team.
• Analyze operational expenditure at the vendor level to determine efficiency, comparing spending by category against other hospitals within the same region.
• Communicate financial results, risks, opportunities, and other pertinent information to internal teams, including executives, operations, finance, and business intelligence.

What you’ll need to be considered:

• Bachelor of Accounting/Finance, required.
• 2+ years of Public Accounting, FP&A, M&A, or Private Equity experience.
• Advanced Excel abilities: PivotTables, Macros, etc.
• Experience manipulating large datasets is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication.

What could set you apart:

• CPA – HIGHLY PREFERRED.
• Experience with tools like Power BI, SQL, or Tableau.
