Governance, Risk, Compliance – Technical Director

ITAC Solutions is targeting a Governance, Risk and Compliance Technical Director for a great company in the Birmingham, AL area! This person will need a customer-centric vision and previous experience leading compliance, risk and governance practices.

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Ensure processes and procedures are set and followed.
• Coordinate creation of documentation and training.
• Support and enforce regulatory compliance such as but not limited to SOX, PCI, etc.
• Communicating compliance policies and guidelines to Management and designated departments.
• Developing and executing new compliance policies and procedures as required.
• Maintaining communication with compliance regulators and following up on applications.
• Work with direct reports and other managers in other areas to coordinate global support function and standards

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field (or relevant work experience).
• Proven leadership in a software operation or closely related function 
• 10 plus years of experience in Risk, Governance and compliance
• Both verbal and written communication and presentations skills
• Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group with all levels in the company
• Strong collaborative work approach across functional areas of the organization
• Skilled financial acumen and P&L thinker
• Strong organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects in a highly dynamic environment
