Income Tax Specialist

ITAC Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented individual for a contract Income Tax Specialist position in the Birmingham area. This person should be analytical and professional.

Pay Range: $22 – $25/hr.

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Responsible for analyzing income tax returns (W-2s and 1099s), and transfer data into the proprietary system
• Utilize basic knowledge of income tax forms in order to accurately and timely enter data into the
• Demonstrate strong communication skills when collaborating with internal and external customers
• Process account changes and updates as needed
• Perform routine audits to ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Manage processes needed to support data quality
• Responsible for additional duties as assigned

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• 1 year of relevant experience highly preferred
• Strong attention to detail and data entry skills
• Ability to understand new technologies and concepts quickly 
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and inter-personal
• Efficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to stay organized and ensure all processes run smoothly
