ITAC Solutions teamed up with a truck dealership in Mobile, AL seeking a Service Manager who will play a pivotal role in business decisions, strategic planning, and driving growth within the service department. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of service management experience under their belt or an aptitude for leadership if they want to move out of a technician role.
This position has an annual salary range of $75,000 – 100,000, depending on experience. This position is onsite.
 
What you’ll be doing (duties of this position): 

  • Hire, train, motivate, counsel, and oversee the performance of the entire service department team.
  • Responsible for the performance of all Service activities
  • Large volume – The shop has 7 bays on both sides of the building.
  • Conduct necessary meetings with departmental employees to address operations, safety, and any emerging issues.
  • Review and assess training records for technicians mandated by manufacturers/suppliers.
  • Lead quality control inspections.
  • Collaborate with the Parts Department to ensure adequate stocking of high-demand parts.
  • Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Foster departmental profitability while diligently pursuing goals and objectives.
  • Greet all customers promptly, providing clear estimates on repair costs and required timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate records, ensuring the retention and processing of warranty parts.

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

  • Two years of service management experience
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel and Outlook
  • Diesel service management is preferred.
  • CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred.
