We are assisting our client with their search for a skilled and experienced Tax Accountant/CPA with a strong background in accounting and taxation, particularly in the area of Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credits. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation, along with a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant accounting and taxation experience.

Title: Tax Accountant/CPA
Location: Remote
Compensation: Target salary $90 -100K+ (Higher compensation depends on experience)
Full-time

What you'll be doing:
•    Ensure client satisfaction through exceptional client service and the delivery of a high-quality and defendable work product.
•    Keep up-to-date with federal and state R&D calculations and rules.
•    Manage audits, including responding to IDRs (Information Document Requests), generating additional documentation, reviewing protest letters, and calculating settlements.
•    Oversee ERC (Employment-Related Credits) studies, including reviewing PAs (Project Applications), 
•    Review Technical Reports and Tax Forms, and present findings during review calls.
•    Instruct clients/CPAs regarding forms, filing, amending, and usability related to R&D studies.
•    Maintain CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and project platforms.
•    Conduct research on tax issues related to R&D and other tax credits.
•    Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be considered: 
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation
•    Licensed CPA- preferred!
•    3-5 years minimum of accounting/taxation experience
•    Knowledge of the Research & Development (R&D) Tax Credit preferred
•    Exceptional time management skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks
•    Intermediate to Advanced user in Microsoft Excel
