Pharmacy Technician – Coverage Determination Analyst

Join our client’s clinical operations team as a Coverage Determination Analyst and play a vital role in ensuring patients get timely access to the medications they need. In this fast-paced, detail-oriented role, you’ll support the prior authorization process by coordinating with physicians, gathering information, and preparing cases for review. Compensation: $18/hour, 3+ month contract

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Perform data entry of patient, prescriber, pharmacy, and prior authorization information
• Review PA requests for completeness and request missing details from physician offices
• Communicate with doctors’ offices by phone and fax to gather information
• Finalize requests in PA software and enter overrides into PBM claim systems
• Identify issues in the PA process and escalate to management when necessary
• Uphold patient rights, confidentiality, and privacy standards
• Collaborate across clinical, member services, and account management teams

What You’ll Need to Be Considered:

• Pharmacy Technician background (retail, hospital, or PBM call center)
• Prior Authorization knowledge
• Proven high-volume data entry skills with accuracy
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, computer-based environment
• Familiarity with PBM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
