Billing Manager / Accounts Receivable & Billing Lead

Our client, a fast-growing logistics and shipping company in Birmingham, is searching for a Billing Manager to take ownership of their billing and accounts receivable operations. Compensation

• $70,000 – $85,000 annually (based on experience)

• Bonus potential available

What You’ll Be Doing

• Oversee all customer billing and accounts receivable activities.

• Ensure invoices are issued accurately and on schedule.

• Review and resolve billing discrepancies and client disputes.

• Record and apply customer payments, monitoring outstanding balances.

• Reconcile vendor and carrier invoices for accuracy.

• Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to ensure complete shipment data.

• Support process improvements and billing automation initiatives.

What You’ll Need to Be Considered

• QuickBooks proficiency and comfort working across multiple systems.

• Strong understanding of AP/AR and cash flow functions.

• High attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or freight billing is a strong plus.

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
