Backend Systems Developer

This is a rare opportunity to become the technical engine behind how a growing organization connects, automates, and scales its core systems. We’re seeking a hands-on Backend Systems Developer who thrives in building node-based applications, designing system integrations, and orchestrating real-time data flows across business platforms. This role is focused on backend engineering, automation, and system connectivity — not functional configuration. You’ll design and develop event-driven services and integrations that connect ERP, MES, and Microsoft cloud platforms, enabling real-time visibility across production, inventory, finance, and operations.

This is a coder-first role for someone who enjoys building the backbone of enterprise systems.

Compensation

• $120-140k

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and build node-based workflows and logic using visual development platforms to automate business processes and system integrations
• Design and build node-based backend services and workflows to automate business processes and system integrations
• Develop and maintain event-driven applications connecting ERP, MES, and cloud platforms
• Build and maintain REST APIs, data connectors, and integration services
• Implement real-time data synchronization across operational systems
• Ensure reliable data flow, integrity, and traceability across connected systems

• Automate workflows using scripts and Power Automate
• Translate business needs into scalable system designs
• Integrate with Microsoft Graph and Azure AD for secure authentication and access control
• Support process optimization initiatives

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• 3+ years of backend development experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript (Node.js), C#, or similar backend languages
• Experience building RESTful APIs and integration services
• Strong SQL/database experience (MSSQL, PostgreSQL, etc.)
• Experience designing and maintaining event-driven or microservices-based systems
• Ability to build scripts, connectors, and automation workflows
• Highly Preferred: Experience integrating with ERP platforms (D365 Business Central, SAP, NetSuite, Acumatica, etc.)
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Graph, Intune policies, and M365 administrative portals.
