Accountant / Bookkeeper – REMOTE in Miramar Beach, FL

Our client is seeking a hands-on Accountant / Bookkeeper to support accounting operations across a diverse group of 5–6 related businesses. This role offers exposure to multiple industries and real-time decision-making across AP, AR, reconciliations, and cost tracking. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-moving environment where no two days look the same and adaptability is key.

Compensation

• $55,000–$75,000 base salary + bonus opportunity

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage AP and AR across multiple related business entities
• Reconcile vendor invoices, purchase orders, and subcontractor payments
• Perform monthly bank and GL reconciliations
• Process landowner lease payments and trucking-related cost reconciliations
• Support job costing, inventory tracking, and cost accounting activities
• Maintain financial records in QuickBooks Desktop
• Assist with month-end reporting and CPA coordination

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• Accounting, Finance, or related degree preferred or equivalent years of experience
• QuickBooks experience required
• Job costing or cost accounting experience preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Multi-entity accounting or full-charge bookkeeping experience
• Ability to manage shifting priorities in a seasonal business environment
