Contract Developer

Our client is seeking a highly independent engineer to take ownership of a mission-critical B2B integration platform powering high-volume purchase order flows and ERP data exchange. This role sits at the center of API integrations, automation, and system reliability across distribution partners and Sage X3 ERP. You’ll design, build, and deploy end-to-end solutions that directly impact operational accuracy and system performance.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and maintain Python-based backend services supporting B2B integrations.
• Design and implement API and EDI data exchange with Sage X3 ERP.
• Refactor and modernize platform architecture and configuration systems.
• Implement security enhancements including authentication and role-based access control.
• Develop dashboards and lightweight administrative UI components.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, logging, and containerized deployments.
• Own delivery from design through testing and production deployment.

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• Strong Python and SQL development experience in production environments.
• Experience designing and integrating REST/SOAP APIs.
• Background working with ERP systems, ideally Sage X3 or similar.
• Exposure to EDI or high-volume B2B data exchange workflows.
• Familiarity with Docker and containerized deployments.
• Understanding of modern authentication (OAuth2, Entra ID, etc.)
• Ability to operate independently from a structured backlog.
