Our client is seeking an accomplished Assistant Controller to play a key role in driving accurate, timely financial operations and strengthening the accounting function. Compensation

• $115,000–$125,000 base salary

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead general ledger monthly close activities and meet critical deadlines
• Create and review journal entry documentation and supporting schedules
• Coordinate with external auditors and support financial statement audits
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations and ensure account accuracy
• Identify and implement process and system improvements to accelerate close
• Review transactions for appropriate GL account, department, and location coding
• Strengthen internal controls surrounding the monthly close process

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• 5+ years of solid accounting experience 
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required 
• Experience with ERP systems; JD Edwards experience highly valued
• Superior working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with a “can-do” attitude and ability to manage multiple complex priorities
