Our client — a fast-growing factoring and commercial finance firm in downtown Birmingham — is looking for someone early in their accounting career who’s ready for more than a desk and a spreadsheet. This role puts you at the center of a fund that’s already grown exponentially and shows no signs of slowing down, giving you real visibility into how a growing business gets built. You’ll learn the ins and outs of factoring and AR from the ground up, then grow into owning your own book of business.

Compensation
$75,000–$85,000 base salary, plus a discretionary bonus based on performance.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Support the CFO and current Account Manager while learning the business inside and out
- Handle account reconciliations
- Assist with accounts receivable
- Run ad hoc financial analysis in Excel
- Manage client relationships, including knowing when and how to push back
- Take on additional projects as they come up
- Build toward owning your own client accounts
What You’ll Need to be Considered
- A background in accounting or finance, ideally within financial services, commercial lending, or factoring
- Advanced Excel skills
- A detail-oriented mindset for precision-driven work
- Comfort operating in a casual, filter-free environment without heavy structure
- A self-starter mentality that treats open space as opportunity
- Bachelor’s degree
