ITAC Solutions is helping a great client in Birmingham, AL. in their search for an Environmental Engineer Project Manager. As a Project Manager for Environmental Systems, you will be responsible for the successful management and delivery of various projects related to our organization’s facilities and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil and environmental engineering, project management, and a commitment to excellence in project execution.

Compensation: $110,000-$125,000
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop, implement, and manage civil and infrastructure projects from inception to completion, including conceptual development, engineering design, construction administration, and project close-out documentation delivery.
- Prepare preliminary, engineering, and detailed cost estimates for projects. Develop project budgets, track project expenditures, and forecast future costs to ensure alignment with budgets.
- Manage pipe condition assessment projects to maintain system integrity.
- Participate in master planning efforts for existing systems and new acquisitions.
- Prepare bid documents and coordinate procurement activities with the Purchasing department.
- Assist the Chief Engineer with the organization’s capital program management and delivery.
- Manage the design and construction of small and large projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Apply for permits through city, county, state, and regulatory agencies and perform site inspections.
- Ensure compliance with safety and health standards and guidelines issued by management.
What you’ll need to be considered:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil/environmental engineering or related field.
- Eight (8) years of engineering, project management, and construction experience.
- Valid Driver’s License and FE License required.
- Project Manager and Team Lead experience.
- Proficiency in project budget management and civil construction.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Water System Hydraulic Modeling knowledge is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Qualified Credentialed Inspector (QCI) certification is preferred.
