Estimator

Our client is seeking an Estimator to join a well-established commercial general contractor and play a key role in bringing major projects from concept to bid. You’ll work alongside a Senior Estimator on $10M–$100M commercial projects, helping shape accurate, competitive bids while collaborating with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.

Compensation: $72,000–$95,000/yr DOE  + bonus potential

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Review plans, specifications, drawings, and project documents to determine scope
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and labor cost analysis
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
• Develop accurate, competitive project estimates and bids
• Identify potential risks, cost savings, and project contingencies
• Collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers throughout preconstruction
• Evaluate projects and support bid strategy and development

What You’ll Need to be Considered:

• Ability to read Civil, Architectural, Structural, and MEP drawings
• Proficiency with Excel, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and Bluebeam
• Understanding of commercial construction scopes and trade responsibilities
• Construction management or engineering degree is preferred, or equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of general contracting and preconstruction processes
• Willingness to work on-site in Temple or Austin
