Title: Assistant Controller
Role type: Direct Hire / Full Time
Location: Hoover, AL / On-site
Compensation: $80,000 – $90,000 per year (DOE)
What you’ll be doing:

• Managing monthly financial close activities and journal entries
• Conducting account reconciliations and implementing corrective actions
• Analyzing financial reports and presenting insights to management
• Assisting with budget preparation and financial statement analysis
• Researching and resolving accounting issues
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on special projects

What you’ll need to be considered: Education and Credentials:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)

Experience:

• 3+ years of corporate accounting experience
• Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel
• Background in relevant industry preferred

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
• Familiarity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
