Assistant Controller

Join our client's dynamic team in Birmingham, AL, as an Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller. You'll play a pivotal role in the financial health of multiple divisions, assisting in analyzing, forecasting, and budgeting to drive strategic decision-making. Compensation: $85,000 – $100,000/year DOE

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead and support full-cycle accounting across multiple divisions
• Prepare monthly financials, including journal entries and close procedures
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Maintain fixed assets and oversee reconciliations (balance sheet, etc.)
• Partner with leadership to deliver accurate, timely financial insights

What You’ll Need to be Considered:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 10+ years of full-cycle accounting experience
• Demonstrated expertise in month-end close, general ledger, and financial statement preparation
• Construction experience required
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems
