ITAC Solutions is seeking an experienced Buyer for a downtown Birmingham office. Ideal candidates will have a strength in procurement and SAP, and have a good knowledge of the Alabama State Bid Law.

Days/Hours: Monday thru Friday 8-5
Onsite/Remote: 100% onsite

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Procure/Buy products and services for all departments
• Assist and prepare for bids, RFQ’s and RFP’s
• Be involved and recommend bid awards
• Verify agreements and PO’s for accuracy
• Determine that products meet departmental needs
• Interview sales reps, be aware of price changes and new/improved products/services
• Assist with receiving and distribution supplies and materials
• Maintain expertise with Alabama State Bid Laws

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred (education+experience can be substituted for a degree)
• 4+ years of Purchasing experience
• Knowledge of the Alabama State Bid Law
• Technical efficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP
• Strong multi-tasker
• Ability to become a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) within 2 years of hire date
• Ability to become a member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) within 2 years of hire date
