Our client is seeking a detail-driven Legal Assistant to support a high-performing Bankruptcy & Restructuring practice in Birmingham. This role plays a critical part in complex commercial matters that directly impact businesses navigating financial change. Compensation: $52,000–$62,000 annually

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting attorneys with administrative and case-related tasks for commercial bankruptcy matters
• Managing attorney calendars with close attention to court dates and filing deadlines
• Drafting routine pleadings, engagement letters, and court documents for review
• Opening and closing legal matters and maintaining accurate files
• Communicating with bankruptcy, state, and federal court personnel
• Assisting with e-filing and compliance with court procedures

What You’ll Need to be Considered:

• Be able to do the job as described.
• Hands-on experience with commercial bankruptcy matters in a law firm
• Working knowledge of Best Case bankruptcy software
• Strong understanding of bankruptcy, federal, and state court procedures
• Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
