Controller for Statutory Accounting

Salary: $120K-$140K (DOE) Plus Excellent Benefits Package
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: 100% Onsite.
Here’s what you’ll be doing:

• Responsible for the preparation of monthly financial statements and preparation of quarterly and annual statutory filings.
• Responsible for month-end close.
• Ensure the readiness of quarterly premium tax filings.
• Responsible for keeping all statutory reporting and statutory forecasting current.
• Responsible for ensuring cash flow is optimum at all times.
• Responsible for statutory compliance laws and company policies.
• Guide, train, and groom a staff of 3 accounting personnel in statutory accounting.

Qualifications You’ll Need to be Successful:

• B.S. in Accounting or Finance
• CPA (preferred but not required)
• 3-5 years of Statutory accounting experience.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience. (preferred)
• Advanced in Excel, Pivot Tables, V-Lookups,
• Strong understanding and knowledge of statutory GAAP.
