ITAC is assisting our client in their search for a Controller, here in the Birmingham area!

Salary:  $100K – $115K + bonus potential
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location:  On-Site – Birmingham, AL

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Provide general oversight of accounting functions including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, property financials, and other Property Accounting tasks.
• Supervise staff members as directed by the VP, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to accounting standards.
• Collaborate with other departments to facilitate financial reporting and analysis.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and external stakeholders.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
• Identify areas for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Support audits and examinations by providing necessary documentation and information.

What you’ll need to be considered (required):

• Bachelor’s in Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Accounting – preferably public accounting (Audit). 
• 1+ year of supervisory experience, required. 
• Experience with Yardi is highly preferred! 
• Advanced Excel skillset
