Salary: $110K – $120k+
Location: Birmingham, AL. / On-Site
Employment Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

What you’ll be doing (job duties):

• Ensure the accuracy and compliance of financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, according to GAAP standards.
• Oversee and manage cash flow to maintain sufficient liquidity for ongoing operations and new project investments.
• Deliver financial analysis, variance analysis, and insights to senior management to facilitate decision-making.
• Collaborate and manage external audits and comply with all applicable regulatory requirements and tax filings.
• Support the development and implementation of the company’s financial strategy, including investment analysis and funding strategies for new projects.
• Lead and coach the accounting team, promoting a culture of responsibility and continuous improvement.
• Recognize and reduce financial risks and develop strategies to safeguard the company’s assets.

What you’ll need to be considered:

• Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance required. CPA and/or MBA would be a plus, but not required.
• 6+ years of Accounting experience, with experience in Affordable Housing/HUD or Multi-Family. 
• 1+ year of management experience.
• Adept at financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, etc.
• Strong Excel abilities required.
• Yardi or QuickBooks proficiency, highly preferred.
