Database Architect

ITAC Solutions is assisting one of our well-established Birmingham clients in their search for a Database Architect! The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing our database environment, leveraging the latest Microsoft BI Tech Stack.

Compensation: $120 – 150K

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Lead technical development and innovation in the database environment.
• Manage database environments to align with DevOps standards for new developments.
• Evaluate incoming requests for their impact on existing systems.
• Collaborate with relevant leadership to shape DevOps practices.
• Diagnose and resolve environmental issues in collaboration with the IT Engineering team.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation for objects and optimizations.
• Assist Development staff in work management through SQL Source Control.

 
What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• Bachelor’s degree in an IT related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in SQL optimizations for process efficiency.
• Experience in a DevOps SQL environment.
• Experience in configuring database environments and optimizing processes.
• Experience with SQL Server Data Tool suite optimizations.
• Experience in SQL Server IAM administration.
• Ability to work with Visual Studio Database Projects.
• Experience with Azure Cloud and DevOps is preferred.
• Knowledge of security and data backup best practices.
