Health & Safety Specialist ll

Our client is seeking a Safety and Health Specialist to play a pivotal role in protecting people, operations, and performance at a complex industrial facility. This role goes beyond compliance—owning incident management end-to-end, uncovering trends, and driving real change that shapes how safety is lived every day. You’ll be a visible leader on site, trusted to influence decisions and elevate safety culture across the organization.

Compensation: Base salary range: $100,000–$115,000, bonus potential

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Own unplanned event and incident management programs end-to-end
• Lead and coordinate incident investigations and corrective actions
• Analyze safety data, identify trends, and drive preventative initiatives
• Audit safety programs and evaluate compliance and effectiveness
• Serve as a safety leader and representative in management’s absence
• Coach and mentor safety team members and operational partners
• Participate in Incident Command Structure as Safety Officer

What You’ll Need to Be Considered:

• Hands-on experience leading incident investigations in a refinery or heavy industrial setting
• Strong working knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, EPA, and API standards
• Proven ability to translate safety data into actionable insights
• Comfort operating independently and influencing without authority
• Ability to work in an active industrial environment, including physical demands
• Southeast U.S. ties and willingness to work on-site
