This is an exciting opportunity to work for a non-profit organization that has a unique history in Birmingham. The HR Coordinator will be responsible for setting the standard of the organization’s policies and procedures, while also integrating themselves into the culture and becoming one of the team.

Compensation: $50-60k/annually

What you’ll be doing:

  • Maintain a complete knowledge of Company policies and procedures regarding employment and employee benefits.
  • Manage the recruitment and onboarding process of all new employees and develop and coordinate employee training programs.
  • Manage benefits administration and backup payroll duties for a weekly payroll of approximately 150 employees.
  • Actively “work the floor” to get to know the team and participate in daily business operations.

What you’ll need to be considered:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • 3-5 years’ hr experience in professional setting, preferably the food and beverage industry.
  • Strong recruitment experience with a variety of positions.
  • Exposure to benefits administration and payroll.
  • Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends.

What could set you apart:

  • PHR or SPHR Certification.
  • Strong, working knowledge of administering benefits and payroll processing
