Title: Project Accountant
Role type: Direct Hire / Full Time
Location: Homewood, AL / On-site
Compensation: $50-60,000 (DOE)
What you'll be doing:
As a Project Accountant, you'll provide essential accounting and administrative support to our divisional office. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable for various jobsites, facilitating communication between our corporate accounting department and field operations, assisting with owner payment applications, handling subcontractors' billing processes, and overseeing onsite hourly staff onboarding and timesheets. Additionally, you'll contribute to training efforts on accounting and corporate software.
What you'll need to be considered:
Education and Credentials:
- An Associate’s Degree, with an emphasis in accounting, is highly preferred
Experience:
- A minimum of 3 years of previous experience in accounts payable, preferably in the construction industry
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Construction Accounting software, preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and time management skills
