Property Accountant

Excellent opportunity to join a growing property management firm with a dynamic accounting team! 
We're assisting our client in their search for a Property Accountant, here in Birmingham, AL! 

Here's what you'll need to know! 
Pay: $55-65K/yr. 
Location: Birmingham, AL
Employment Type: DH / Full-Time 

What you'll be doing (duties of the position): 

• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure reconciliation.
• Oversee and validate transactions for payables and receivables.
• Align bank statements with company records.
• Execute monthly ledger entries as required.
• Inspect the general ledger to ensure precision before closing monthly accounts.
• Generate regular financial summaries for each assigned client property.
• Analyze and verify management fee computations.
• Formulate requests for owner capital contributions.
• Collaborate with Property Managers for property-related inquiries.
• Support management in executing ad-hoc projects upon request.

What you'll need to be considered (requirements): 

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required. 
• Two years of Accounting experience, preferably Multi-Entity or Property Accounting. 
• Yardi Experience – Highly Preferred. 
• Advanced Excel abilities. 
• Ability to meet strict deadlines, and communicate/collaborate with various departments.
