Purchasing Manager

ITAC Solutions is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager for a great company in the Birmingham, AL area.
Days/Hours: Monday thru Friday 8 AM – 4:30 PM
100% onsite
Eligible for sign on bonus

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Responsible for the purchase of supplies, materials, equipment and services necessary for the operation of the system in compliance with Alabama Bid Laws and other regulations.
• Manage the Purchasing department, Minority/HUB department, Maintenance department, Warehouse inventory department, Transportation vehicle repair department
• Purchasing department has 3 areas, which the manager oversees – Buyers (supplies/bids) – fall under the AL Bid Law process, Transportation (fleet of 300 vehicles – department helps maintenance those), Warehouse (keeping up with inventory and getting employees what they need)
• Supervise 4-6 direct and 18-22 indirect

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• Bachelor’s degree in business admin or related fields
• 10+ years of Purchasing department operations AND experience with AL State Bid Laws
• ERP system experience (SAP is preferred)
• NIGP certification preferred
• CPPB certification preferred
• Strong supervisory/management experience
