Senior Mechanical Engineer

ITAC Solutions is seeking an experienced Sr. Mechanical Engineer for a great company in the Birmingham, AL area.

Pay Rate: 91k – 120k 

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Develop, implement, and manage projects within the Engineering group from design to development to documentation
• Prepare cost estimates, develop project budgets, expense forecasts and cost tracking
• Manage multiple projects ranging from large to small
• Design and perform reviews to ensure that projects are biddable, buildable, cost-effective, and maintainable
• Coordinate with the procurement team in preparing bid documentation
• Develop/participate in master plans and capital improvement plans including valuations, budget development, and forecasting
• Ensure delivery of information to the team both internal and external
• Perform inspections and meet compliance and health/safety goals as well as ensuring the appropriate permits are in place

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• Knowledge of industry codes including, OSHA, ANSI, and ASTM
• BS degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.  MS degree preferred
• 8 years of engineering experience including PM and Team lead experience in construction management
• Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
• AutoCAD and ESRI tools preferred
• FE license required, PE preferred
