Site Reliability Engineer

ITAC is assisting an established Birmingham client in their search for a Site Reliability Engineer! The ideal candidate will have a passion for automation, building scalable systems, embracing new technologies, and sharing with teammates.
 
What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Collaborate closely with development teams to design and implement innovative solutions on a leading cloud platform
• Identify tasks that can be automated and automate them
• Employ a blend of software and systems engineering to construct and maintain highly scalable, fault-tolerant systems
• Implement automation tools and frameworks (CI/CD pipelines
• Develop and maintain design and troubleshooting documentation.
• Provide operational support and engineering expertise for multiple distributed software applications.

 
What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):

• 5+ year of experience in site reliability and/or DevOps supporting development, operations, and infrastructure or 4 years of experience as a developer.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, SRE principles, and cloud services, particularly GCP.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Dynatrace, New Relic, or SolarWinds.
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins or GitLab CI preferred) 
• Familiarity with web technologies and related tools like Azure DevOps, Prometheus, and Grafana.
