Software Developer

What you’ll be doing (duties of this position):

• Will be responsible for designing, developing and testing applications in support of the achievement of business requirements
• Ability to work as part of a development team
• responsible for software development and support for systems used in the Risk line of business

What you’ll need to be considered (requirements):       

• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
• Ability to work independently and multi-task effectively
• Demonstrated Understanding of projects from the perspective of both client and business
• Flexible and willing to accept a change in priorities as necessary
• Strong attention to detail
• Significant experience as a successful Software Developer, Software Engineer, or similar role
• Strong working knowledge of Agile development methodologies
• Extensive experience with Software Design and development in a test-driven environment
• Ability and willingness to learn new languages and technologies
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Resourcefulness and troubleshooting aptitude coupled with focus and follow-through

What could set you apart from the rest (preferred skills / experience / knowledge):

• Experience with Java, Git, React, Docker, Python, REST, Eclipse, IntelliJ, or similar stack
