Sr. Infrastructure Cloud Engineer

Our client is seeking a visionary Sr. Infrastructure Cloud Engineer to lead the modernization and operation of hybrid cloud and on-prem infrastructure in a regulated environment. This role will drive the migration to Azure, transition from managed providers to internal teams, and collaborate across engineering, data, and security to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing platforms that support the organization’s growth and innovation.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $155,000–$165,000

• Discretionary incentive and equity

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead cloud migration and infrastructure modernization across Azure and on-prem environments

• Design, implement, and maintain secure hybrid infrastructure, identity, and core platform services

• Serve as SME for complex infrastructure and cloud issues, including tier-3 support

• Partner with security, data, and application teams to improve reliability and compliance

• Develop automation, monitoring, and operational processes for infrastructure management

• Drive transition from managed service providers to internal IT operations

What You’ll Need to be Considered

• 8-10+ years of relevant experience

• Deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and enterprise identity/security (AD/Entra ID)

• Experience in regulated industries, ideally banking

• Proven ability to start, scale, and own critical infrastructure initiatives

• Strong experience with automation (PowerShell), virtualization, storage, backup/DR, and modern platforms (containers preferred)
