Salary: $52-60K/yr.
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Location: Hybrid Schedule | Birmingham, AL (35209) 

What you'll be doing (position duties): 

• Execute different business accounting tasks within set deadlines and standards
• Complete monthly closing processes including creating and recording manual and recurring journal entries
• Manage general ledger and chart of accounts to ensure validity and reliability
• Able to detect issues and propose thoughtful and timely solutions
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with fellow team members and home office departments
• Accountable for creating and analyzing various business financial reports
• Produce timely and accurate work product, including insightful financial statement analysis
• Train/Mentor new team members and serve as a resource for facility and corporate-related questions
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requests from management

What you'll need to be considered (required): 

• Bachelor in Accounting or Finance – REQUIRED. 
• 0-1 year of Accounting experience – strong internship experience will be considered.
• Strong Excel skills required – PivotTables, VLOOKUPs, etc. 
• Excellent verbal and written communicator. 
• Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft – highly preferred. 
• Experience with Blackline – huge plus, not required.
