Serena Garrett is a Recruiting Manager at ITAC Solutions, a staffing agency where she has spent the past four years helping companies find great people and helping people find job opportunities that genuinely fit their lives. A quietly competitive recruiter who loves a tough search, Serena is especially energized by those hard-to-fill roles where finding the right candidate takes persistence, creativity, and a little detective work.

Her approach to recruiting goes well beyond matching skills to a job description. Serena believes the best placements happen when you understand the “why” on both sides. She takes the time to learn what motivates a candidate and to listen beyond what a client is saying to understand what they truly need.

That same philosophy shapes how she leads ITAC’s Corporate Services recruiting team. As a recruiting manager, Serena doesn’t believe in one-size-fits-all leadership. She sets high expectations while recognizing that people need different things to succeed, sometimes coaching, sometimes encouragement, sometimes a push, and sometimes simply someone who will listen. To Serena, people are people first and employees second.

Outside of work, Serena is usually still on the move. Her ideal Saturday includes trying a new breakfast spot, grabbing local coffee, making an “innocent” stop at a plant nursery to add to her growing rare-plant collection, and ending the day with football, good food, family, and a playlist that refuses to commit to a single genre. She’s also a reigning fantasy football league champion, and yes, she plans to defend the title.
